The Prima Ballerina Nina Ananiashvili and the famous Swiss jeweller Gilbert Albert founded the prize Star in 2003 for young dance talents.
The jeweller made the prize itself in form of a sea star, as he wanted it to resemble the character of nature. "Of course I could have looked at the sky, but then the star would not have been so beautiful", declared Albert. The Star represents a laced form made from pink diamond fixed on a black deck.
