Theatre Folklore Ensemble "Suliko"
The Folklore Ensemble "Suliko" has been founded in 2007 by the soloists of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre with Ivane Galuashvili as its head and Kakhaber Onashvili as a chorus-master. The ensemble comprises of the soloists of the Tbilisi Opera, who sing lead roles both in premiere and ongoing repertoire performances.

Members of the ensemble include Grigol Makharadze, Tamaz Saginadze, Sulkhan Gvelesiani, Ivane Galuashvili, Bondo Gogia, Kakhaber Onashvili, Gocha Datusani, Shalva Abramashvili, Davit Kipiani, Marine Adamashvili (concertmaster).

The ensemble has toured several countries, giving a number of very successful concerts. The ensemble enjoys great success among the audiences in Georgia, as well. The ensemble joined the festive celebration of St. George’s Day and participated in the concert featuring internationally acknowledged performers. In 2007 July the ensemble toured Kazakhstan and in January 2008 - Israel, where they performed two highly successful concerts with Israel Chamber Orchestra.

The repertoire of the ensemble is diverse and original. Generally, the concert programme is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted entirely to Georgian folklore – Georgian unique vocal polyphony and Georgian instrumental compositions, and the second one to popular opera arias, classical music choral compositions of Georgian and European composers.
