Nino Chachua After graduating from the Tbilisi V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire, Nino Chachua debuted at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre as Marikhi in Zakaria Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri (2004). Since then she regularly appears in opera productions of her native theatre. Her repertoire includes: Zerlina and Despina (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s operas Don Giovanni and Cosi fan tutte); Maro and Marikhi (Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri and Daisi); Keto (Victor Dolidze’s Keto and Kote); Mzia (Otar Taktakishvili’s Mindia), Karozhna (Gogi Chlaidze’s Darispan’s trouble); and soprano parts in Giuseppe Verdi’s operas: Rigoletto (Guilda); La traviata (Violetta) Un Ballo in Maschera (Oscar); Don Carlos (Thibault and Voice from Heaven), Aida (Prayer).

In 2002-2013 Nino Chachua often appeared in different performances, concerts and festivals both in Georgia and abroad. Among them are 45th Gut-Immling International Festival (Germany), Cosi fan tutte in Ingolstadt (as Despina); Opera Galas in Tel Aviv, Maalot, Raanana (Israel); concerts in Klaipeda, Butinges and Pakutuvenai (Lithuania). In Tbilisi, together with the Ingolstadt Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Ariel Zuckermann) and pianist Apfredo Perl, she performed Mozart’s Rondo. The singer has also sung part of Tamar in Lidia West’s opera Demon. Together with the chamber orchestra Concertino Tbilisi she regularly performs Cantatas of Bach, Mozart, Haendel. At the governmental Concert under the baton of Sascha Goetzel Nino Chachua sang alongside Jose Carreras.

Among Nino Chachua’s partners were: Ferruccio Furlanetto, Marco Berti, Roberto Aronica, Paata Burchuladze, Zurab Sotkilava, etc. She has collaborated with conductors: Sascha Goetzel, Gianluca Marciano,  Uwe Berkemer, Ariel Zuckermann, Vakhtang Machavariani, Giorgi Zhordania, Gogi Tchichinadze, Zaza Azmaiparashvili, Revaz Takidze, Shavleg and Giorgi Shilakadze, David Kintsurashvili, etc.
