Marina Aleksidze

Marina Aleksidze Meritorious Artist of Georgia

Born on June 22, 1949, Tbilisi. In 1967, graduated from Vakhtang Chabukiani Ballet Art State School (under the supervizing of T. Vikhodtseva, V. Chabukiani), and later, in 1975, graduated from I. Chavchavadze Foreign Languages Institute, faculty of French language.
During 1967-1994 was the leading soloist of the Tbilisi Z.Paliashvili Opera and Ballet State Theatre ballet company.
Chelita (Don Quixote), Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Myrthe (Giselle), Bess (Porgy and Bess), Grand pas (Raymonda), Carmen (Carmen Suite), Clytemnestra (Orestea), Medea (Medea), solo parts in ballets: Serenade, Chaconne by Bach, Paquita, etc.
During 1988-1990 worked as coach at Tbilisi Choreographic School.
During 1994-2004 was the ballet company manager of Tbilisi Z.Paliashvili Opera and Ballet State Theatre.
In 1980, was awarded the title of the Meritorious Artist of Georgia.
In 1987-1997, Marina Aleksidze was invited to Opera and Ballet Theatres of Tallinn, Kishinev, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Novosibirsk, Almaty, Yerevan, Dushanbe, Krasnodar, as the Coaching Ballet Mistress.

Since 2004, She has been a Coaching Ballet Mistress at the State Ballet of Georgia
